Cricket Chest Guard

Chest guards are used by the high level cricketers who are subject to extremely fast and short pitched bowling. ( Mostly the shorter cricketers, because they are more likely to get hit on the upper body.)

They are vital for the safety of a batsman because getting hit in the chest by a fast bouncer can lead to extreme injuries.

However, it is purely up to the batsman whether he wants to use a chest guard or not.
